Our bespoke Versailles parquet panels are individually made to order, combining traditional French parquetry with the precision and craftsmanship expected of a truly high-end timber floor.
Inspired by the magnificent parquet floors created for the Palace of Versailles, each panel is constructed from carefully selected timber and assembled by hand to create the distinctive geometric design that has become synonymous with classical European interiors.
Made specifically for your project, every element can be tailored — from timber species and grade to panel dimensions, border detail, colour, and finish.

There is nothing off-the-shelf about a bespoke Versailles floor.
We work with you, your designer or architect to establish the precise specification required for the room. Panel dimensions can be adapted to suit the proportions of the space, allowing the pattern to flow naturally through entrances, adjoining rooms, and architectural features.
We can produce panels in a range of carefully selected timbers, including European oak, reclaimed oak, and aged oak, with the character and grading selected to complement the individual project.
The result is a floor that feels as though it belongs to the building rather than simply having been installed in it.
The Versailles pattern
The traditional Versailles design is formed from a central geometric lattice surrounded by a timber frame, creating a strong architectural pattern across the floor.
Unlike conventional parquet, where individual blocks are laid directly onto the subfloor, Versailles panels are constructed as complete sections before installation. This allows the intricate geometry to be produced with exceptional accuracy while retaining the visual character and craftsmanship of traditional parquetry.
Panel layouts can be carefully planned around the architecture of the room, with borders, thresholds and feature areas incorporated into the overall design.

The 1000mm and 800mm panels share one design, scaled to the size. At 750mm and smaller, the panels are made to a simpler design.

How a floor is made
- Made to the room
- Panel sizes of 1000mm, 800mm and 750mm square, or a custom size, so the pattern can flow naturally through entrances, adjoining rooms and architectural features.
- Timber, carefully selected
- Oak in solid, aged, engineered, reclaimed and antique, plus American black walnut, elm, iroko, sapele and teak. Exotics on request.
- Eight to ten weeks
- Every panel is individually made to order.
